(More customer reviews)I give this item four stars because it is too expensive and the brace does not move down, only left or right and back and forth.The TV will angle downward even if the adjusting knobs are tightened.I have the TV resting on a built-in countertop so that it rests evenly and not at an angle.However, the brace stretches long enough for the built-in shelves, which is what I needed it to do.
Studs do not need to be exactly 16 inches apart as there is one to two inches on either side of the brace's holes to maneuver with.
Sam's Club sells this online cheaper.
